Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Music Player & MP3 - MMusic 2.2.7 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Fixes and stability work
This build’s notes cover fixes and stability work. That is a general maintenance focus for MMusic, which plays audio files from your music library.
- 02Worth using: offline playback
Worth using: MMusic plays music offline, so you can listen to audio files stored on your device without needing Wi-Fi for playback.
- 03Worth using: sound controls
Worth using: the built-in equalizer offers presets and sound effects, including bass boost and reverb, so you can adjust playback to suit a track.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's Music Player & MP3 - MMusic page.

Tips
- Shape playback with equalizer presets
Open the equalizer while listening and try a preset that suits the music, such as rock, classical, dance, or folk. MMusic also describes bass boost, reverb, and a music virtualizer. Make small changes and compare the sound on your usual headphones to find a setting that feels comfortable for longer listening.
- Browse music by its organization
Use the library views to find tracks by artist, album, folder, or playlist, rather than scrolling through one long list. MMusic describes automatic scanning and classification for audio files, plus search and playlist creation. These options can make a personal collection easier to navigate once the app has organized its available music.
- Choose a playback order
Pick shuffle, repeat, loop, or sequential playback to match what you are doing. For a focused album listen, use the listed sequence option; for a changing mix, try shuffle. MMusic also describes background playback, so music can continue while you use other apps, with wired or Bluetooth headphones.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. Select Weekly is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Music Player & MP3 changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with ICC Tech. Google Play’s app page is the authority for the official listing and its change information. Check that page for the current details shown by the developer, and use the app’s Play listing when you want to confirm which build is offered.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when an update is not currently offered to your account or device, including when availability is staged. You can check the app’s Play page again later. If the page offers an install action, follow Google Play’s prompts; otherwise, the installed app remains available to open.
Can MMusic play music without Wi-Fi?
Yes. MMusic is described as an offline audio player for music stored on your device, so playback does not require Wi-Fi. The app lists support for common formats including MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, and MIDI. Make sure the tracks are available in your music library, then browse and play them in the app.
