Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in idealista 15.7.1 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01A more useful property chat
This build gives idealista chat a makeover and adds the ability to send and receive documents connected with a property transaction.
- 02Share transaction documents in chat
You can use the chat to send or receive contracts, plans, booking or deposit documents, and other paperwork as a transaction progresses.
- 03Keep property conversations together
The app says you no longer need to leave chat or rely on other apps to share the listed transaction documents.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's idealista page.

Tips
- Draw a search area on the map
Open the map and draw the area where you would like to live. idealista shows available listings and their prices within that chosen area, which can help you compare options geographically instead of relying only on a broad location search. Adjust the outline as your preferred neighbourhood or commute area changes.
- Save searches and turn on alerts
Save a search for the kind of home or room you want, then enable instant alerts for it. The app says notifications can flag matching new listings and price drops, helping you keep track of changes without repeatedly starting the same search. Set criteria that reflect your priorities so the alerts stay relevant.
- Use shared lists for favourites
Save properties you like and use collaborative lists to compare them with friends or family. Other people in the list can add notes, suggest favourites, or remove options that no longer suit the search. This can keep decisions and comments alongside the homes being considered rather than scattered across separate conversations.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. Select Weekly is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of idealista changes?
No. This is an independent editorial guide and is not affiliated with idealista. The app’s Google Play page is the authority for its official listing and change information. Check that page for the current details shown for your account and region before deciding whether to install the build.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when an update is not available to your account at that moment, including when availability is staged. Check the app’s Play page again later. If the page continues to offer Open, you can still use the installed app; Google Play controls when an update is offered.
Can I use idealista to share documents with an advertiser?
Yes. The updated chat supports sending and receiving contracts, plans, booking or deposit documents, “nota simples,” and similar paperwork. You can also use idealista chat to ask advertisers questions or arrange a viewing. The documents are handled in the property conversation, according to the listed change.
