All three steps

Step 2 of 3 · A focused app selection

Choose apps for conversations, practical tasks and reading

Treat this selection as a menu rather than a requirement to install everything. WhatsApp Messenger brings messaging and internet calls together; Facebook provides social sharing and interest groups. Add either only if it connects you with people or communities you actually follow. Muse from Meta is presented as a tool for delegating everyday tasks, so read its current listing and examine any service connections or proposed actions before proceeding. Google Keep offers notes and lists, while Adobe Acrobat Reader provides PDF reading and signing, with some additional capabilities requiring payment. Substack brings creator writing, audio and video into one reading and listening destination. Start with your most necessary service, sign in deliberately, and decide whether its alerts are useful before moving to another. Availability and feature access can depend on the account, location or device, so an app appearing here is not a promise that every option will be offered to you.

Where to get apps

Install from Google Play. Open each app's listing and check the developer name, not just the icon or search position. Read the description, payment information and data-safety details before selecting Install. If the identity is unclear, pause instead of choosing a similarly named result. After installation, handle permission requests in the context of the feature you want: opening a document does not mean you must immediately enable every optional capability. Review any subscription or purchase screen separately from the basic setup process. Keep Google Play Protect enabled; its checks are a safeguard, not a guarantee that every app will suit your privacy expectations. There is no need to add overlapping apps simply because they appear in the same category.
