Voice Recorder Pro 4.0.6: what changed
Voice Recorder Pro is designed for recordings ranging from quick voice memos to meetings, interviews, and lectures. The current build highlights usability improvements and minor bug fixes; the app also offers choices for recording quality and ways to manage finished files.
What changed
- 01Usability improvements and bug fixes
The notes group this release around making the app easier to use and correcting minor bugs. Voice Recorder Pro is built for recording and playing audio, so those improvements relate to everyday use of its core tools. If you already use the app, install the build through Google Play to get the listed changes.
- 02Worth using: choose recording formats
The app supports MP3, PCM in WAV, AAC in M4A or MP4, and AMR in 3GP. Its description also lists adjustable sample rates and bitrates, plus stereo and mono recording. Consider the intended use before choosing: a format or quality setting that suits a short memo may not be your preference for a longer recording.
- 03Worth using: organize your recordings
Voice Recorder Pro includes a built-in media player with volume control, and recordings can be sorted by date, name, size, or duration. The description also lists a customizable recordings folder and sharing through email or other apps. These tools make it easier to find a clip, listen back, and pass a recording along.

Worth knowing
Recording length is limited by available memory, and the description says the app works on smartphones and tablets with or without external storage. Voice Recorder Pro can record in the background with the screen off, and offers a customizable recordings folder; look in the app's Settings for folder controls.
